02. Can anyone participate in TRI ROTTERDAM?

All athletes aged 14 and older who can swim 750 meters, cycle 20 km, and run 5 km are welcome to participate in the sprint distance at TRI ROTTERDAM. You have plenty of time to complete the course; there are no time limits. Especially for beginners, there’s the Rookie Race: a 500-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5 km run.

Because the physical demands of a Standard distance are considerably greater (1500-meter swim, 40 km bike ride, 10 km run), the minimum age for participation is 16. There are two starting waves for this distance. For the second starting wave, you must have switched from cycling to running after 2 hours and 20 minutes of racing.
